More Yellow For Less Dollar Near Shady Grove

We featured this house earlier in a Dueling Dwellings poll where it garnered 64% of the vote against a similarly sunshiney home in Arlington. But now there is news to brighten your day. The house has come down in price and is now asking $750,000 for a five bed, four bath. That makes it $154/per square foot which sounds like a good deal for any fully detached house within spitting distance of the DC line. It's walking distance to the MARC station and a short drive to Shady Grove Metro, so it isn't super close to the city, but close enough for someone who needs to commute in. The neighborhood is called Washington Grove which is one of those secret enclaves surrounding the DC area, a little like Glen Echo but not as much density. The pond in the back yard is a plus.

UPDATE: The realtor wrote us to say the original link wasn't working so we have swapped it for one that does. Also, there is an open house this Sunday, August 26th, from 2-4pm.
