The Schafer Turns One Mansion Into Twelve Condos

New, 3 comments

From the same group who turned a hundred year old church into nine luxury condos, comes this not quite finished Mount Pleasant mansion with more units at more affordable prices. Prices start at $279,900 for a 465 sq. ft one bedroom and go up to $599,900 for a two bed, two bath (see full list after the jump). The Schafer, named for the prior owner Charles Schafer who was treasurer of the Oriental Building Association, has kept as much of the mansion-y feel as possible, with every unit named after one of the mansion rooms. The Ballroom, for example, is a one bedroom, one bath while the Orangerie is a one bed, two bath plus den. Sales will start in mid-September, but they are taking appointments now for tours that will take place early next month.
