Does that photo make you think of U Street? It should, since it is a picture of Jair Lynch (founder of Jair Lynch Development Partners—major real estate developer in the DC area). His company has offices on U Street and have a number of projects in this neighborhood as well as almost everywhere else (including Arlington's Abingdon House in Al Gore's neighborhood). Before all this he was a hardcore gymnast out of Stanford (as well as a Sidwell Friends graduate) and won a silver medal in the parallel bars at the Atlanta Olympics. Perhaps that is why one of the design features his group has considered is playing the Rocky theme song in stairwells of their buildings.
