Georgetown Is In An Approving Mood. Cecil Place And The Post Office Get The Go Ahead

The Old Georgetown Board and the Board of Zoning Adjustment have okay'ed two different projects this month. Last night the BZA agreed to Eastbanc's latest proposal to the post office building and approved the plans to build most of the new part underground for commercial tenants (no more residential plans for this place).

Earlier in the month, the OGB said yes to the Cecil Place Condo Project at the corner of Grace Street and Cecil Place. What is now a gravel parking lot will become a seven-unit building sometime the middle of next year. Capital City Real Estate plans to break ground in November and expects construction to take six months.
