McLean Family Scandals Go International

Just because the Kennedy's haven't lived in this house for decades doesn't mean there isn't a family scandal to report. And this one is international.

The current owner of the house (which is for sale) is a Hong Kong tycoon named Erich Hotung who was quoted as saying some fighting words about his son in several publications in Hong Kong. But since he lives in Fairfax County that means he can be sued for defamation so naturally his son took the opportunity to do so. He was awarded $1.2M by the judge. But there are so many more layers in a scandal that involves a cousin-lover, ties to the Gaylord Casino at National Harbor, secret love children and a family patriarch who could, "probably pay [the damages] with the change in the console of his yacht."
