Carmel Apartments Trying To Unload Their Motherlode

A tipster writes in to tell us Carmel is going to put 'most, if not all' of their DC properties on the market. That means up to eleven multi-family buildings will be up for grabs. Of their eleven buildings the Park Meridian, Sarbin Towers, and Park Marconi are definitely going to be for sale.

A few of the tenants are forming tenants' associations so they can (try to) not get screwed in the process. We also hear that the Latino Economic Development Center is spearheading some of the tenant groups because a number of the buildings have affordable housing units within. Anyone else out there been informed their building is up for sale? Send us the info (dc@curbed.com) and we'll keep you anonymous. [OfficialSite; CurbedInbox]
