Teddy Roosevelt

Over on 19th Street is a renovated house that still retains the spirit of one of its prior owners, Teddy Roosevelt. He owned it around the turn of the last century and the current owner, DC power player Ben Barnes, spent $4.2M restoring it. That means oak floors from that period, the fireplaces all work, and 19th-century art fills the walls. [Washingtonian]
