Hot Rentals Near H Street For Under $1500

Oy vey. Intern season is upon us and apartment listings, especially quality listings, are few and far between. But even in hot hoods like H Street, there are still a few diamonds in the rough if you are willing to scour through plenty of dubious online postings. Seriously, since when was far east M St NE ever part of the H Street Corridor? Sounds like neighborhood creep to us. But here are three listings suitable for many budgets. Just be ready to pounce like these are hot bartenders and it's last call.

· The Ten Least Expensive Properties Near H Street (CDC)

3. 642 1/2 Morton Pl
Monthly Rent: $1,360
Bedrooms: 2
The Perks: This 2 bedroom, first-floor apartment is located about 4 blocks north of all the Atlas action, but quiet and seclusion has its benefits. And having a shared private deck and patio has its benefits as well. Do we hear summer cocktail party?

2. 10th & G St
Monthly Rent: $1,330
Bedrooms: 1
The Perks: This wordy listing may have a lot going on, but it's better you get too much info than not enough, right? For a bit more than $1,300 a month, you'll score a 1 bedroom (gas and electricity not included) one block south of H Street and a relatively short walk to Union Station. This unit is located in a professionally-managed building.

1. 1610 K St
Monthly Rent: $941
Bedrooms: 2
The Perks: So this one's a stretch because it way on the east side of the Atlas District. But with 2 bedrooms and a shockingly low price, it was a hard listing to ignore. Heat and water is included in the 675 sq.ft. apartment, which has hardwood floors and a nice kitchen.
