Well, How About Eighteen Million For This Georgetown Stunner

New, 4 comments

Not too far from a little house called Evermay (remember that twenty-two million dollar sale?) is another house that has just come to market and its price tag now makes it the most expensive house for the area. Eighteen million dollars is the listing price for this eight bedroom, nine bath with (are you sitting comfortably?) a billiard room, motor court, private elevator, solarium, wine cellar and possibly one of the most contemporary bathrooms we've come across in a DC house that is as old as this (built in 1900). Yet, it is only on a third of an acre (for comparison's sake Evermay is on three and a half acres. The other house closest to it in price is $16.2M and is also a third of an acre). So that moves the $17.9M one in McLean down to second place on this ever-shuffling list of high-end houses.

Update: This home has been taken off the market as of November, 2012. [Redfin]
