Antique Meat Lockers Are The Latest Must-Have Amenity

New, 1 comment

This house went under contract so fast we didn't get a chance to tell you about it, but since there's a meat-locker-turned-wet-bar involved we're going to tell you anyway. This Capitol Hill row house is both adorable and affordable with 3 beds and 1.5 baths for $750,000. Lots of exposed brick and hardwood floors give it plenty of personality, but the centerpiece is that wood and glass shaft in the middle of the living room. Once built as a place to store meat, it is now the perfect place to store a liquor collection and have all cocktail parties start with a conversation about it. The house went on the market last Thursday and by Saturday was already under contract, so clearly meat lockers are the new in thing.
