DC—A press release from the group that studies this stuff let's us know that DC had a record number of visitors during 2011. An estimated 17.9 million visitors passed through the city, up from the previous high of 17.4 million. [PoP]

BRITAIN—If this story is true, it's gross. An auction company on an island of the coast of England claims to have a vial of Ronald Reagan's blood that was taken when he was at GW hospital after his assassination attempt in 1981. They are auctioning it off and the current bid is for $9,910. [HuffPo]
