The debate over height limits in the District goes back to the Cairo Apartment Building on Q Street NW built in 1894, but how tall it is isn't the most interesting thing about it. That would be the crazy brother of its owner who killed a few people (including his wife) and caused such a sensation that 10,000 extra copies of the Washington Post were printed to fill demand.
