Fortunately the worst of allergy season has passed and your olfactory senses should be recovering from the seasonal onslaught enough to take in the region's rising housing prices. The housing data from April are in, and it smells like success—for sellers and agents that is. The DC area's median sales prices have jumped by 11.2%, which is the highest leap in more than 6 years. And with inventory at only about 3 months of supply and new listings declining by 14% compared to the same time last year, expect even tighter supply and steeper prices. So if you see something you like, don't wait on it. And if you need more data to whet your whistle, then head on over to satisfy your real estate curiosity.
