With its improving commercial districts on Georgia and New Hampshire and many transit options, it is appealing as a low cost (relatively speaking, of course) alternative to other NW hoods. Because Petworth is quickly becoming the next (insert hot nabe here), there are plenty of deals for first time home buyers, but these hot properties may not be on the market for long.
