We don't have as many rent to own options as cities like NYC, but there are some hanging out on the search sites and we've pasted four below. Most of the places that give you a choice in renting versus buying are very expensive condos, so we decided to go for the low end of the spectrum just for fun.
This one is in Germantown, MD and is a 2 bed, 2 bath asking $169,000 if you want to buy it or $1,450 per month if you want to rent it. HOA dues are only $258/month.
Or about one in Bethesda asking $275,000 or $1,890 per month for a 2 bed, 2 bath. One potential drawback is that if you only want to rent the unit the lease won't go past eleven months because the condo association by-laws say a unit can't be rented for more than two years at a time and there has already been someone in there on a year's lease.
Here's a detached house asking $259,900 in Clinton, Md. It is a 4 bed, 3 bath and are calls to the realtor to find out how much the rent was weren't returned.
Another one where we weren't able to find out the monthly rent. But if you want to live in Deanwood, the neighborhood that will have its heyday one day, you're in luck. This 2 bed, 1 bath is asking $250,000 if you want to buy and an unknown rent price because we were dissed by the real estate agent.
