What's a new memorial without a little controversy? Last night Susan Eisenhower, granddaughter of the former president, went before a congressional committee hearing to tell them her criticisms of the design for the Eisenhower memorial. She managed to play both the communism and Hitler cards by comparing the design for the memorial to ones created for Marx, Engels and Lenin as well as suggesting there is a similarity between the scrims and the fences of Holocaust death camps.
