The views from Reston Town Center might be improving with the proposed development of a 23-story mixed-use high rise. Planned to be taller than any building in Reston, it would replace the current office tower at 1760 Reston Parkway. Even though there is high office vacancy rates, the managing partner of the project's ownership group, Richard Whealen, insists "the time is right for a high-end office tower in Reston". The proposal is still pending approval and would be one of several high rise projects in various stages of development in Fairfax and Arlington Counties. [WaPo] -- George Perkins
