Stop Work Order Upheld For Collapsed Building On Wisconsin

The building at 1424 Wisconsin Avenue that collapsed on Thanksgiving last year and then ran into problems during the re-build has now had the worked stopped indefinitely. The owner of the building, Mohammad Esfahani, has everyone on the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs committee worried that there's a conflict of interest with him being the one to hire the structural engineer that will deem whether the property is safe.
