There's a house in Silver Spring that had about $150,000 dollars worth of major work done to it, but it still has the feel of the cottage it used to be. That's right, there's a couple who decided against the McMansion trend and instead chose to keep things small. They even went against the grain and kept things 'closed-plan' saying, "Rooms should be rooms." [WaPo]
