The real estate site Redfin has released their Washington Real Estate Report for January 2012 and one of their local agents says that DC needs more condos, specifically new construction condos. "They are typically priced a little higher, but still competitive with the resale market, so buyers are willing to pay a little more for a brand new home." This might be a good sign since we've seen a few planned buildings make the switch from being condos to apartments while they're still in the planning stages.
