Parcel 42 In Shaw Is Going To Be A Marriott Hotel, Probably

As a few places have reported last night's ANC meeting over Parcel 42 was more interesting than most ANC meetings. Out of six possible choices the committee voted in favor of a Marriott TownePlace Suites hotel for the corner 7th and Rhode Island Avenue. The 100-plus unit building still has to be approved by the officials, of course, but the ANC only had one dissenting vote which is usually a sign of the way things will go. There is already a letter of intent from a grocery store called Milk and Honey (apparently they're innovative) and they also plan to create a kids playground nearby.
