Bistro Bohem-ian Rhapsody And LeDroit Park Locations

Welcome to Bar Crawl Living where we find some worthy domiciles within stumbling distance of a neighborhood hotspot. If there's a place you want us to scope out, leave a comment or send word to our tipline.

If the famous scene in the car from Wayne's World is running in your head, you're not the only one. On the borders of LeDroit Park, Shaw, and U Street Corridor, Bistro Bohem is neighbors to popular spots like Shaw's Tavern and much-talked-about Thai X-ing. (So delicious.) And like the booming restaurant scene, the hyper-local real estate scene is booming too. With cranes all around, especially close to the Shaw Metro, there are big developments and smaller ones popping up like mushrooms. And to get your hands on one of these shrooms doesn't require too much green.

1. 1911 8th St NW
Asking Price: $429,650
Square Feet: 930
What It's All About: Just dance. Just dance. Just get into this 2 bedroom condo. With a deck in the back and loads of light, this space is geared to the dance monkey who loves Town and has plenty of baggage (to store in the basement).

2. 1816 5th St NW
Asking Price: $475,000
Square Feet: 1,134
What It's All About: LeDroit Park. Shaw. Whatevs. This is how listings pics are done right. In this 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo, art abounds. It's all over the place and makes the space pop. The floor plan is truly open, and the master bedroom is fit for a king (bed). And of course, the location is a huge selling point.

3. 523 Florida Ave NW
Asking Price: $499,000
Square Feet: 980
What It's All About: With a $25,000 reduction in price, this 2 bedroom condo in a boutique building has been on the market for about 2 months. Touting its "incredible price point", the condo's Victorian appeal can only be viewed from the outside since there aren't any interior pics. And the condo fees are an incredible $172/month.

4. 1808 6th St NW
Asking Price: $625,000
Square Feet: 814
What It's All About: Totes psychedelic and lofty. The 2 bedroom condo not only has exposed bricks to give it that SoHo feel, but one of the bathrooms has some wicked wallpaper that's a bit trippy. That aside, there's parking in the rear, a yard, a balcony, and awesome fixtures. So yes, the "owner has spared no expense".

5. 416 U St NW
Asking Price: $799,000
Square Feet: 1,764
What It's All About: "A diamond in the ruff" because this is being marketed to dogs. If a buyer is looking to live on U Street itself, here's an opportunity. The 6 bedroom property may need "updating and minor repairs", but the seller insists it's totes liveable. The listing is going "as-is" but without pics on what's happening on the inside, it's anybody's guess how "minor" the repairs actually are.
