Renderings from Capitol Crossing
The people who had the wild idea to build a 2.2 million square-foot development over 395 have sealed the deal on the air rights (for $120M) and are ready to move forward. Capitol Crossing will bring mostly office buildings—but also one 150-unit residential building—to the airspace over the stretch between Massachusetts Ave and E Street. Crazy, right? The four planned office buildings will be built first, which will include a lot of space for ground floor retail and room for 1,100 parking spaces. Will any of them be for jetpacks, we wonder.
