Another Reason We're Allowed To Hate The Dallas Cowboys

He might not be a current player but it never gets old making fun of our football team's nemesis, the Cowboys, so let's see what this linebacker got up to. Eugene Lockhart ("Mean Gene the hitting machine") played for the team during the eighties and then turned to various other means of employment including mortgage fraud. He was part of a ring that would entice 'straw purchasers' to lie about their income and obtain loans for higher sales prices. This would all happen under the aegis of differently named companies, like Cowboys Realty and America's Team Mortgage. A few others from the scheme have already been sentenced and Lockhart is going to have to serve time too.
