Cable Box Aesthetics

Georgetown purists are looking forward to getting rid of Comcast's cable boxes that showed up unexpectedly. Such unsightliness for a historic district is one concern, but the fact that they were installed without rounds of committee meetings is just as disturbing. Commissioner Tom Birch told The Wrap, "We're hoping that this project will now go into the review process, as it should have in the first place." What, no item on the ANC agenda? No period of public comment? What was Comcast thinking? [TheWrap via GeorgetownPatch/TomBirch]
