There are only ten days left to get in on the ground floor of DC's first crowd-sourced development. 1351 H Street NE">1351 H St NE is Popularise's first project in their crowd-sourcing game that asks the community what they want built in a rundown space and also lets people invest in the project (the investment offering is under the auspices of Fundrise, however). They are less than seventy thousand dollars away from their goal of raising $325,000 from community investors and will stop offering the investment opportunities on November 15th. To date they have raised over $245,000 dollars from one hundred and forty-seven individuals. According to Molly Fitzgerald, Director of Communications, they are confident that they will meet their stated goal but moving forward on the project isn't contingent upon doing so.
