In June this Craigslist listing made the rounds since it was posted by a prominent young Republican who touted both its rent-controlled status and proximity to Senator John Kerry's house—both things that would appeal to liberals. An anonymous tipster wrote in to let us know it has reappeared with almost the exact same text, except for all the paragraphs that highlighted its liberal perks.
The poster has also used another marketing approach by lowering the price, at least temporarily. That means the same room has come down by fifty dollars per month—so now it is $1,025—but the landlord reserves the right to raise it back up to the previous $1,075 rate at any time. Must be the new generation of rent-control! Besides peppering the ad with frequent mentions of the political leanings of the current housemates there's also a new picture with a discreet nod to the GOP mascot. Read the full ad after the break.
