Passion Pit Spins At Intermix; Drybar Freebies All This Week

GEORGETOWN—Intermix and Passion Pit are a match made in heaven. The uber-hip band was in town for several shows at the 9:30 Club and decided to give fashion fans some tunes at the Intermix opening at 3222 M Street in Gtown. Fans were able to check out the store's wares while getting down to an awesome DJ session. And Svedka cocktails to wash it all down.

MCPHERSON—Keeping the music beat alive, Drake is celebrating his 26th birthday at DC's Park at 14th across from Franklin Square. Joining this Friday's jaunt will be local legend Wale and comedian Kevin Hart. [Washington Examiner]

U STREET—For those who love to cycle but hate the outdoor elements, there's a new option in town. Off Road Indoor Cycling has opened its doorsat 905 U St and "is the first specialized cycling studio in DC to offer virtual rides and features the newest line of bikes equipped with monitors to track riders' workouts". So sweat it out without getting an autumn chill. [PoP]

DC—Those eagerly awaiting the opening of Drybar should keep their eyes peeled for Buttercup—the larger-than-life blowdryer that is roaming around town. The first people who take a picture of themselves with it and tweet it to @theDrybar #DrybarinDC, they'll receive a free blowout. Here are the planned locations:

GEORGETOWN—Jenny Zinn (aka Betsey Girl) of the recently closed Betsey Johnson store has moved over to The Magic Wardrobe at 1661 Wisconsin Ave. Zinn brings her fashion knowledge to her new clients at The Magic Wardrobe who have "opened her eyes to the world of 'Georgetown women'". GEORGETOWN—More men's clothing options are coming to the DMV with H.L. Poling & Sons setting up shop near the Gtown campus. This men's haberdashery should be up and running by Spring 2013. Just in time to start rocking shorts and polos all over again. [Georgetown Patch]

CLARENDON—If living on the Orange Line, a new jeweler is coming to the space formerly occupied by Sisters3. B&C Jewelers, based in Alexandria, is opening up its second shop. [ARLnow]
