Valor/PGN Bringing Another 'Undulating Facade' To The District

If architecture is said to reflect the world around us, then is it no surprise that in a town with one corruption story after another the trend of designing a building with a shifty exterior (called an "undulating facade") is cropping up everywhere?

Last night's ANC2C meeting had a few reps from Valor and PGN showing off their preliminary renderings for a mixed-use building at the corner of P and Marion on a site which they own (and the design, as it stands now, proposes a wavy exterior). They are hoping to get permission to buy the adjacent District-owned lot at the corner of P and 7th so that they can build a bigger building. If that gets approved they aim to build approximately 65-70 units, but if not the smaller building will have around 49. For a video of their presentation where they talk through the specifics of the project click through the jump.
