The mega-construction project in Merrifield is going strong, with the first phase of the renewal delivering by the fall of this year. The Post took a tour of the ongoing work and focused on the growing buzz about all the retail and restaurants that are planned for the area. The latest coup is a Neiman Marcus store, the company's second location in the area, and a few others stores that are not national chains. The developers wanted to make sure local stores were well represented and estimate about 25% of the retail will be local companies (Lou Lou and Dawn Price Baby are some of them).
