That building doesn't look like much now, but soon it will be filled with established retail outlets such as YO! Sushi, Walgreens, and Panera. Owned by real estate firms Douglas Development and McCafferty Interests and acquired for the unbelievably low price of $9.1M, Gallery Square is located at one of DC's busiest intersections, 7th and H Street NW, and has ground-level retail and upper-level office space. Not surprisingly given the area's vehicular and foot traffic, the building may command retail rents of $160 per sq/ft, some of the highest in the city. [The42; WaPo]
