Everyone keeps saying DC has a resilient economy because of the government jobs, but here's hard proof. Atlas Van Lines published the country's 'migration patterns' according to their customer data and DC has the highest percentage of inbound moves. Not only that, this is the sixth year in a row the city has come out on top compared to the rest of the country. Maryland and Virginia were also in the top ten of inbound moves, but the data aren't subdivided to reflect the suburbs of DC. Still, it is safe to assume that we're a hell of a lot more popular than the Yukon territory.
