The National Design Awards, sponsored by Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in New York, will honor designers on October 20th as a part of National Design Week. One of the honorees includes the local firm Gustafson Guthrie Nichol, a landscape architecture group, that designed the courtyard at the Smithsonian American Art Museum (pictured).
