As summer fades away we thought we would start to tour different aspects of the city that make it look good. Visitors to DC see the monuments and museums but those of us who live here everyday drive past some equally impressive works of art. Sometimes it is cool architecture, other times public sculptures and design. We're starting off the series with some of DC's most eye-catching murals and we'll check in periodically with other sights from our built environment. We need something good to look at now that the flowers and trees are starting to die down. And who's day hasn't been made a little brighter by seeing Marilyn Monroe peering down from up high?
