Another building switcheroo is upon us. Instead of a fire station being turned into condos, this time an old Navy Yard industrial building has been converted into 170 apartments. Built right on the river and two blocks from Nationals Park, these Foundry Lofts apartments are expected to deliver this fall. Thirty-three of them are two-level penthouses with rents starting at $3,400 per month and the rest are one and two bedrooms starting at $2,000-$2,700. Amenities include a communal gym, courtyard, billiard table and yoga terrace. Even though they only announced pre-leasing last week their website indicates there are fewer than twenty units left to rent. Who knew a yoga terrace would be so popular?
