This week's top dish from Eater DC, Curbed's restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog...
CAPITOL HILL—President Obama went out for a Wednesday cheeseburger run yet again this week, but this time to Ted's Bulletin. A rep for the restaurant tells Eater that POTUS had a cheeseburger and fries, plus there were the restaurant's homemade Pop Tarts on the table. These were decorated with Illinois and American flags.
SHAW—General manager Steven May is apparently the fall guy for all the liquor licensing issues going on over at Shaw's Tavern. He told Eater this week that he is officially out of the project.
LOGAN CIRCLE—Birch and Barley hostess Sara Seanor was the focus of the latest edition of the Gatekeepers, in which Eater talks to the fine ladies and gentlemen that stand between you and some of your favorite impossible-to-get tables.
ADAMS MORGAN—Amsterdam Falafelshop organized a series of flash mobs this week to raise awareness about the need for better vegetables in fast food joints. There was no dancing, but they did raise some vegetables in the air.
