This week's top dish from Eater DC, Curbed's restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog...
ANYWHERE—The bombshell news this week was word that New York's gargantuan Italian food hall Eataly is scouting out locations in DC, with hopes to open by the end of 2012. And the owners plan to take it even bigger in DC — which is no small feat when the original is packed with 12 restaurants, a beer garden, a cooking school, and an exhaustive Italian market that sells salumi, fresh pasta, mozzarella and other imported products that you probably won't see at your local grocery store.
CLARENDON—Eater has a peek inside Cava Mezze's new Clarendon outpost, all concrete floors and reclaimed pine wood. The restaurant is scheduled to open on Saturday at 5 p.m.
CHINATOWN—Mike Isabella's recently opened Graffiato is now open for lunch on weekdays from 12 to 5 p.m.
FOGGY BOTTOM—Sweetgreen opened its new Foggy Bottom location this morning at 11 with free salads and wraps for the first 200 customers in line.
