When JBG isn't getting a good deal on land owned by WMATA, they're planning mixed-use buildings all over town. This time U Street is the beneficiary of an apartment complex, with 267 units above 30,000 square feet of retail. JBG plans to break ground before the end of this year and develop something that looks like the rendering at right.
