A Highway House

Ever wondered who lives in that single family home poking through the sound barriers along the beltway? Turns out, no one lives there. That house, on Luttrell Road, was one of eight houses VDOT had to buy so they could build the on ramp for the new high-occupancy toll lanes being added to the beltway. This $650,000 house will eventually be demolished (as the others were) but is currently being used as a field office for the staff working there. [WaPo]
