Meet The Newest Owners Of Evermay—DC's Most Expensive House

The crown jewel of Georgetown, Evermay, recently sold for $22M but there was no word on who the buyers were until now. Reports indicate that a couple originally from Japan, Dr. Sachiko Kuno and Dr. Ryuji Ueno, are the new owners and even though they have been in DC for a number of years they are a particularly private family. But that hasn't stopped them from being uber-accomplished in the biomedical field. Together they founded a pharmaceutical company called Sucampo Pharmaceuticals, a company that holds over 650 patents worldwide for some awfully scientific work with fatty acids, including the first bioactive lipid used to treat glaucoma.
