The old post office building at 1438 U Street is on the market again after being bought in January for $2.7M. The sellers, Rock Creek Property Group, completely gutted the interior to make it ready for a new incarnation as either retail, condos, or office space. This seems a quick turnaround since it took them over a year to acquire the property, telling CityBiz, "We've been working on this acquisition for almost a year and had to manage a foreclosure, auction, contract assignment, tenant eviction, real estate tax liens, an out of town bank and everything in between."
