Alexandria gets a visit this week from the New York Times' "What You Get For..." feature. The highly addictive (and occasionally jealousy-inducing) piece compares three homes across the country all in the same price range just to see how much house you get for the same moola. For this installment the author looks in the $770,000 category and comes up with houses in Charlotte, NC, Santa Fe, NM, and our own Old Town Alexandria. We'll let you guess which one came in at the highest price per square foot. Hint: it wasn't Charlotte or Santa Fe.
