'Tis the season for sales with a sad tale behind them. Yesterday we profiled the Patricia Kluge auction that took place over the weekend and now we have news of memorabilia from Nathans going up for sale. Nathans is the former Georgetown hotspot whose drama-filled demise is mentioned in Carol Joynt's new memoir Innocent Spouse. Antiques Of Georgetown is hosting the sale and things kick off with a cocktail party tomorrow night from 5 to 7 pm. Joynt will also be there signing copies of her book and proceeds from any books bought will go to the Georgetown Library Foundation. Antiques of Georgetown is located at 3210 O Street NW.
