Virginia has come up with a plan for its own redistricting, but now it has to come up with a big chunk of change to pay for the maps the State Board of Elections needs for each precinct. That is, the five hundred existing precincts plus the new ones being added. How much of a change chunk are we talking? Oh, about ten million dollars. That number comes from an estimate of about $20,000 per precinct give or take a few hundred thousand. [PL]
