A Hold-out Sells Out; Pilings Needed; Banners Blowing Around Town

MASS. AVE—The cute little townhouse between an apartment building and office building has finally sold for almost $800,000. Plans are for the space to become a restaurant. [WBJ]

THE MALL—Our beloved Reflecting Pool needs a little support. In fact, it needs 2,133 new pilings worth of support since we're actually getting a new pool to replace the original that had a total piling count of zero. [WaPo]

NEW YORK AVE—Banners with pictures of trees have gone up to spread the message of greenness equaling goodness. This is all part of the Urban Forest Initiative which was initially delayed because of funding issues. [WCP]
