WEST END—Eric Ripert's Westend Bistro debuts its new pop-up barbecue stand today on its patio. The stand, the brainchild of chef de cuisine Joe Palma, will serve Carolina-style pulled pork and NC-style pulled chicken sandwiches, along with Texas-style brisket, on Fridays for the rest of the summer.
U STREET—Eater had the scoop this week on the new chef manning the kitchen U Street's forthcoming boutique steakhouse. Smith & Wollensky's Joseph Evans joins the Lost Society with big plans for a creative steak menu.
