Beer Garden Getting Closer to A Yes in Capitol Hill

The proposed Beer Garden in Southeast is finally making some headway after getting a heavy taste of approval process purgatory. We reported previously that the developers were stymied by all the committees that needed to be kept happy, but what a difference a month makes. With a few changes to the plan, things are looking up for the Beer Garden. The rain screens are coming down, there are plans for a sidewalk, and the industrial feel of the design is A-OK with the historical preservation team. The jury is still out on whether or not an archaeologist will be required to come and check things out given the possibility of historical artifacts being buried within the dirt. But all things considered, Mark Brody and team are much closer to getting approval than they were a month or two ago. Bottoms up?
