Our friends over at DCist have gone through the history books and found out the story with the building where Connecticut, R, and 20th intersect right near Dupont. Turns out it hasn't always been a haven for the L. Ron Hubbard devotees. In its 120 years of existence it has been a private residence, a boarding house, two different nightclubs, the reason for someone's bankruptcy and many different types of restaurant. We're not exactly sure Hubbard would approve of its pedigree, but then again he did believe in reincarnation so perhaps it is all part of the master plan.
