What would you like to see in that empty building on your street? Now you can have a say with a new platform developed by the peeps at WestMill Capital. They recently announced the launch of a website called Popularise.com that lets local residents make suggestions about what should go in an empty building and then vote on the shortlist of suggestions. The goal, according to co-founder Ben Miller, is to 'pull the curtain back on the real estate industry in the same way Food, Inc. did for the agro-business and food industry'. It's a power to the people kind of thing, only with clicks not marches in the street.
