Earlier this week we mentioned the former Real World house that was converted into the Laogai Museum—a space profiling the abuses of Chinese prisons (as well as other labor camps around the world). They moved to their new Dupont Circle location from a building on M Street which only begs the question, what's going on with their old building. Turns out it is being redeveloped by CAS Riegler (the same people who did the Flatiron Of Bloomingdale)
and is going completely residential. The building will become eleven units and be known as the Standard Eleven. Click over for a rendering. [RenewShaw; previously]
